Step by step

Seven steps, once.

The words in bold are the names on the screen.

1
Create the business. On the sign-up page fill Business name, Your name, Email and Password (8 characters or more). Press Create my business. You are now the owner.
2
Look at the launcher. The first page greets you by name and lists the apps in six groups: Attendance and time, Salary, Compliance, People, Business and Manage. From inside any app, All apps brings you back here.
3
Say what applies to you. Open Compliance Calendar, then Settings. The page is headed "What applies to this business." Tick or untick each line and press Save switches.
4
Check the holidays. Open Leave and Holidays, then Holidays. The dates there are a starting list, each marked "To confirm". Press Confirm or Remove on each one, and add your own with Add holiday.
5
Add your shift. Open Shifts and Roster, then Shifts. Fill Shift name, Starts, Ends, Break in minutes and Late after, minutes, then press Add shift.
6
Add the other logins. Open Team and Access, then Add a login. Fill Name and Email they will log in with, choose a Role, tick the apps this login may open and press Create login. You set the first password and tell it to the person.
7
Go to People. The business is ready. The next lesson adds your people.
Common mistakes
Sharing one login between two people. Give each person their own, so the edit log shows who made each change.
Switching PF or ESI off because nobody has checked. The screen says to turn one off only if the business is not registered for it. Ask your CA.
Leaving the holiday dates unconfirmed. They are a starting list, not your list.
Ticking every app for a supervisor. The Manager role starts with Today, Shifts and Roster, Piece Work and Approvals, and salaries stay hidden.
Good to know
Only the owner can change access, lock a month or decide a request that pays money.
A CA seat can open the Compliance apps and Reports.
A login stays in for 7 days, then asks for the password again.
The starting holiday list and Professional Tax follow Gujarat today.

Questions about this lesson

Not yet. Sign-up opens at launch. Until then every app is shown on this site with real screens, and these lessons tell you what you will do on the first day.
No. Every screen works on a phone, including these.
Yes. The Settings page says that switching something off stops it in salary months that are still open. A locked month never changes.
Anyone who works inside Payroll Bundals: a supervisor who marks attendance, an accountant, your CA. Workers do not need one. Each worker gets a link of their own.
